Decrease in Continuing Education Requirement in Diagnosis and Treatment Hours - Beginning July 1, 2025

Beginning July 1, 2025, continuing education hour requirements in diagnosis and treatment will decrease for license renewal for several license types regulated by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board. For licensees that renew their licenses on or after July 1, 2025, the continuing education hour requirements, specifically in the category of diagnosis and treatment, are decreased from 6 hours per renewal period to 3 hours per renewal period for the following license types regulated by the BSRB:

  • Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Workers (LSCSW)
  • Licensed Master’s Social Workers (LMSW)
  • Licensed Psychologists (LP)
  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPC)
  • Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC)
  • Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapists (LCMFT)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT)
  • Licensed Clinical Psychotherapists (LCP)
  • Licensed Master’s Level Psychologists (LMLP)
  • Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselors (LCAC)
  • Licensed Master’s Addiction Counselors (LMAC)
