Licensure Requirements

• Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor LCMFT
• LMFT Transition Application
• LMFT/LCMFT Reciprocity Application
  This is for marriage and family therapists currently licensed in another state seeking to be licensed in Kansas.
• LCMFT Out-Of-State Temporary Permit
  This is for currently licensed marriage and family therapists at the independent level. When approved, a temporary permit will allow for 30 days of practice in the year the temporary permit is active.

• LMFT/LCMFT Renewal Packet or Renew Online
• Audit Packet
• LMFT/LCMFT Reinstatement Packet
• Optional CE Broker Account to Upload Documentation of Continuing Education Hours

Fees

• Application fee - $50
• Examination - $365 (Both Levels)
• Temporary License - $50 (24 months)
• Community-Based License - $50 (24 months)
• Original License fee - $150 (Both Levels)
• Renewal fee

  • $125 (LCMFT)
• Reinstatement - If license has been expired less than one-year
  • $200 (LMFT)
  • $250 (LCMFT)
• Reinstatement - If license has been expired one-year or more
  • $100 (LMFT)
  • $125 (LCMFT)
• Duplicate Wall Certificate License - $20
